A variety of life drawings and portraits completed by Mary Ramsay. Some of these items are dated to her time as a student at The Glasgow School of Art. Most items are pencil on paper, with a few further studies in paint.

This series includes one item by Jessie Wilson, another student of The Glasgow School of Art, with whom Mary Ramsay and Margaret Macdonald started a pottery decorating business at The Studio, Strathyre, in 1926.

A variety of loose artworks and six sketchbooks completed by Mary Ramsay, including life drawings, portraits, architectural studies, designs, prints, and illustrations. Some of these items are dated to her time as a student at The Glasgow School of Art. Most items are pencil on paper, with a few further studies in paint. This collection also includes a portfolio folder (DC 110/1/4) and personal papers (DC 110/3).

Material relating to Gerard V Murphy, former GSA student

A variety of drawings and graphic designs created by Gerard V. Murphy, a former student at The Glasgow School of Art in the 1930s. The diverse subjects of his drawings include animals, plants, architecture, human anatomy and figures. A subfonds titled 'Teaching examples' features his teaching materials as an art teacher at schools, intended for printmaking techniques and pattern design education.

Most items have been marked with his name or student registration numbers, assuming they were created during his time as a student at GSA. The dominant materials in his works are pencil and watercolour, worked on cartridge paper.

Some of this material was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Paper conservation was completed in 2019.

A variety of loose artworks, cover designs, correspondence, ephemera, and photographs completed by and belonging to Archibald Haswell Miller. The collections includes proofs for book covers and pamphlets, personal correspondence relating to his studies and subsequent career, different ephemera relating to Haswell Miller's student days and photographs of artworks and students and staff members of The Glasgow School of Art.

This collection also includes material relating to Georges-Marie Baltus (DC 098/2) , including photographs of his artworks and his Italian and European trips, and Francis H. Newbery (DC 098/3).

One item was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014 and was conserved in 2018-19.

A pencil sketch of a young man working in the sculpture workshop.  A hand written label on the reverse reads, 'John Murdoch sketch by himself at Glasgow School of Art when a student.'  In another hand, the dates 1824 - 1954 have been added. On the backing sheet, another note reads,' John Murdoch (1824 - 1854) Self portrait at Glasgow School of Art when Rector.'

A4 sized paper scan of a black and white blown up image of a lady in white patterned headscarf. Verso " Mrs Kopaloff - 88 yrs - Stepney, East London / 1977 / A reduced cope of the original, part of our / exhibition of East End Faces, held at / Toynbee Hall - The Universities' Settlement in East London." Per DC 101/3/1, Mrs Kopaloff was sitting at her kitchen table in her pre-fabricated home shelling peas. She had escaped from Jewish persecution in Lithuania and found refuge in the United Kingdom; Veronica Matthew knew her well.

Black and white portrait photograph. Believed to be Sydney d'Horne Shepherd, wearing a white dress shirt, light coloured tie, and darker coloured suit jacket. Includes a black and white glossy photograph of a smiling Veronica Matthew in a white dress made with a printed shawl by Valerie Wilson (Bloomfield-Ambrose) in 1956 or 1957. "Weekly Scotsman. Edinburgh." written at bottom on the white border. Verso "Veronica Matthew / G.S.A. Fashion Show, 1956 or 1957 / The white dress belonged to Valerie Wilson, (now V. Ambrose), + made by her. The stole was a screen printed textile made by me in greens, red + a kind of Kakhi colour. The headdress was red knitting pins stuck into my bun. I was a student of Robert Stewart's / Printed Textiles Dept. + Kathleen Whyte's Modern Embroidery / 10 Aug 2016." Verso also includes a stamp that indicates the copyright and reference number for printing purposes.
