Delia Derbyshire Archive inspires new music

Delia DerbyshireThree musicians have created new works based on their interactions with the Delia Derbyshire Archive at The University of Manchester and John Rylands Library in Manchester. Delia Derbyshire was a pioneering electronic musician, probably most well known for composing the Dr Who theme. Delia Darlings will premiere three new pieces of music and sound by Manchester-based musicians Caro C, Naomi Kashiwagi and Ailís Ní Ríain that will celebrate the life and work of Delia Derbyshire and will tour Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield throughout January. More information about the project is available here.
