Exhibition

Glasgow Girls: Artists and Designers 1890-1930

19 NOV 2010 – 20 DEC 2010
This collaborative exhibition, produced in association with the Stewartry Museum, Dumfries and Galloway Council, opened at Kirkcudbright Town hall in July 2010 before transferring to GSA in November 2010 where it was seen by over 4000 people in just four weeks.

The Archives and Collections were represented on the exhibition’s advisory committee and the show was curated by Liz Arthur, a former GSA staff member.

The exhibition, containing numerous examples from the GSA’s own collections and archives, examined the important role played by women artists and designers and how their time spent as students of the GSA influenced their subsequent work.
