Rachel Lowther researched archive material, mainly correspondence files, from the First World War period and developed an exhibition of new work in response.
The resultant show ‘Nothing compares to the first time getting shot at‘ was held in the Reid Gallery 16 Jan – 20 Mar 2016 and was accompanied by an exhibition of archival work in the Reid Ground Floor corridor ‘From the Service of Venus to the Worship of Mars‘ 16 Jan – 14 March 2016.
