Delivering Change: Joining the Museum Transformers Programme
We’re excited to announce that we have signed up for Delivering Change: Museum Transformers, an inspiring anti-oppression programme designed to empower the museum workforce in fostering inclusive access to culture. Starting in January, we will embark on this transformative training journey together with other 19 heritage organisations.
Developed by Museums Galleries Scotland in collaboration with an Expert Advisory Group, and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund—thanks to National Lottery players—and the Scottish Government, this programme is centered around turning ideas into action. It provides participating museums with the training, resources, and support needed to sustainably embed changes that improve access to culture for all.
Throughout the programme, participating heritage organisations will:
- Become part of the Museum Transformers network, joining 19 leading organisations committed to anti-oppression and human rights in museums
- Build deeper community connections through authentic and meaningful relationships
- Diversify audiences, partners, and the workforce
- Strengthen the momentum of ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Benefit from a safe space to experiment and learn from mistakes, all while receiving peer support
