Inscribed silver (Glasgow hallmark) plummet in wooden presentation tray.  Inscription reads: 'This plummet was presented to James Fleming, Chairman of Governors by John Morrison: Wright, on the occasion of the laying of the memorial stone of the Glasgow School of Art, May 25 1898.'

The presentation sheet includes photos of some main features of the library such: pendant cluster of pierced metal lampshades, the construction of the coffered ceiling pillars and balusters. Photos' references are unknown.

Designed for the board room, Glasgow School of Art. Basically, a compilation of three examples of MC/F/18 with the pierced motif repeated three times on each back rest. Trade cabinet designed to hold various wood samples. Made for William Douglas, a decorator and friend of Mackintosh who worked on several of his commissions, especially Hous'hill. Reputedly designed by Mackintosh but some of the detailing suggests he did not closely supervise the execution. Each drawer holds samples of different woods, stains, paints and finishes. This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).

A series of facsimile armchairs were commissioned by GSA between 2003 and 2005 to replace the original armchairs (from 1904 and 1906) that remained in situ and in daily use within the Director's Room and Board Room of Glasgow School of Art.

This material is currently uncatalogued and therefore not accessible for researchers. Includes the committee papers, correspondence and administrative papers for GSA Enterprises Directors meetings, and the GSA Enterprises Development Committee.

The collection consists of the surviving papers of the Needlework Development Scheme and over 100 examples of needlework. Of these examples, 28 are from Great Britain and 54 are examples of non-British work including examples from Greece, India, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey and Bosnia. Items include ecclesiatical, domestic, costume, clothing and modern embroideries, tea cosies, funeral pall, clothing, lace work, wall hangings, samplers, linen work and cushion covers.

The surviving papers include a complete inventory of 1012 items that were part of the Needlework Development Scheme prior to its dispersal in 1961. This provides information on the original numbering scheme used for the needlework examples and also provides information on the provenance of each item, although this is not necessarily the creator of the item but the person from whom the item was received, as well as a description of the item itself. There is an inventory of the parts of the collection received by the Glasgow School of Art, insurance details concerning the collection and the correspondence of the Needlework Development Scheme, 1931-1941.
