The exact date and location of the 1982 fashion show are unknown.  Other shows held around this time were however held in the spring, and in the Assembly building or in the Assembly Hall of the Bourdon Building. The film comprises footage of students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include rainbow, futuristic, Oriental, Egyptian, ballgowns, stripes, geometry, hats, formal, off-the-shoulder, utility wear, white, accessories, metallic, fantasy, swimwear. The show also features an extravagant period ballgown, designed by Kenny McLellan, which was subsequently shown at the “Young Blood” exhibition at the Barbican Centre in London, in November 1983 to January 1984. The set for the show consisted of a pale, self-coloured fabric backdrop. The soundtrack for this film was added during the editing phase of the film and contains music which was played at the fashion show. This poster advertised a retirement party arranged in honour of David A. Donaldson. Donaldson grew up in Coatbridge near Glasgow. He received a place at The Glasgow School Of Art at the age of fifteen despite having no formal qualifications and went on to become the head of drawing and painting in 1967. He was recognised for his portraiture, notably his portrait of Queen Elizabeth the Second in 1967. Donaldson remained at The Glasgow School Of Art until his retirement in 1981. The retirement party was held in The Glasgow Art Club on Bath Street in Glasgow on the 24th of June 1981. The poster was printed by Bob Stewart who was head of design at The Glasgow School Of Art at this time.

This poster advertised a retirement dinner for Lennox Paterson. Paterson worked at The Glasgow School Of Art between 1964 and 1979, occupying various roles including Head of Design and Deputy Head of the school. He was highly regarded for his wood engravings of animals and the poster features elements of this style. The event was held in the Bourdon Hall at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 20th of December 1979. This poster advertised a debate which dealt with the positive and negative aspects of studying at The Glasgow School Of Art which was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre on the 8th of December 1976. Speaking for the school in the debate included Roger Hoare, Mike Roschlau, Tom Lyden and Vladimir Soukoup. Speaking against were Dugald Cameron, Julian Gibb, Colin McNaught and Jim Cathcart. Harry J. Barnes was the chairperson. The poster states: "The Motion: This house believes that this art school creates no prospects, no jobs, no firm conclusions, no hopes, few aspirations, little money, nothing but nostalgia..." The poster was printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in design at The Glasgow School Of Art at this time.

This poster advertised a Christmas fayre held in The Glasgow School Of Art's Assembly Hall from the 10th to the 11th of December 1990. A number of activities were organised including a 'deluxe' prize raffle, hair cutting, a Santa's grotto and various games. Tea, coffee and baking were also available.

Activities week ran annually from the 1970s until the mid 1980s. During this week, classes stopped and various events were organised instead. The poster is annotated on the reverse with "J.Cosgrove".

The poster features a caricature of Robert Begg by Dan Ferguson who produced many caricatures of staff at The Glasgow School Of Art in the 1970s. Ferguson appears to have signed the front of the poster.

This poster advertised two dramatic performances of 'Le Dieu Nusku' and 'Narcissius' which were produced by Miss Dorothy Carleton Smyth and performed by students at The Glasgow School Of Art. The performances were in aid of raising funds for a war memorial to honour students and staff who served or were killed in action in World War One. The memorial was eventually commisioned in 1925 and was designed by former student Dorothy Doddrell. The image on the poster is a stone lithograph drawing by Maurice Greiffenhagen who was a tutor at The Glasgow School Of Art from 1906 until 1926. The reverse of the poster is annotated with the words "See Box".

This poster advertised a lecture given by the American scholar Theodore Roszak on his book entitled 'The Making of a Counter Culture'. The text examines 1960s counterculture in North America and Europe and is credited as one of the first examples of the term counterculture. In this lecture held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre at The Glasgow School Of Art, Roszak discussed the theme of "Conscience and the Consciousness in Art". The word "Villa" is written on the reverse of the poster in pencil.

This poster advertised an experimental dramatisation and adaptation of Alice In Wonderland written by Malcolm Lochhead and Joan Palmer. Performances were held in The Glasgow School Of Art's lecture theatre and ran from the 11th to the 15th of March 1968. Tickets were priced at £6 with a discounted price of £3 for concessions.

The 1984 Fashion Show was held in the Assembly Building from 30th April to 5th May 1984. The film comprises images of the fashion show poster, followed by footage of the audience arriving at the venue and students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include music, pastels, metallic, rainbow, wedding, hats, white, bright colours, jewellery, off-the-shoulder, flamenco. Students involved in the show came from a variety of subject areas and years, including: Embroidery and Weaving; and Printed Textiles. All the textiles students modelling designed garments for the show. The set for the show consisted of large musical notes and staves, plus piano keyboards. It was designed and built by Minty Donald and Jean Cameron. The soundtrack for this film was added during the editing phase of the film and contains music which was played at the fashion show.
