The photograph album contains photographs of "The Immortals", including Jessie Keppie, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Herbert MacNair, Frances Macdonald, Margaret Macdonald and others of their circle.

The Moyr Smith sketches are from Moyr Smith's first published book Studies in Pictures. Smith trained in Glasgow, becoming influenced by Alexander Thomson and Daniel Cottier, moving to London in 1864.

Of great importance in this collection is a sketchbook of drawings by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The sketchbook, dating from the 1890s, consists of 19 drawings of flowers, furniture sketches, and interior sketches of Craigie Hall, Pollokshields, Glasgow.

This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010). Installed outside the Lecture Theatre following restoration in 2013. Following the fire in the Mackintosh Building in May 2014 it was assessed and conserved in 2019.

Six chairs reupholstered in brown horsehair 1985, very similar to the original fabric found on one of the chairs. Two remaining chairs reupholstered in 1986. GSA Archives and Collections hold 216 audiovisual files, covering a range of topics and a wide date range. The audiovisual material has been created both by GSA and by external organisations, such as the BBC (television and radio), STV and ITV, other educational institutions and the Scottish Arts Council. Media in the collection include 16mm films, 35mm films, audio cassettes, audio CDs, CD Rom, DV cassette, DVD, Floppy disk, Reel to reel audios, Super 8 film, U-matic films, VHS tapes and Video 8 tapes. The audiovisual files pertain to topics including the GSA Fashion and Degree Shows, and Activities Week; students discussing their work; lectures by architects; presentations by, and interviews and conversations with, GSA alumni; centenary of the Mackintosh Building; Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh; plays; and documentaries on GSA. Please note that this material is not yet fully catalogued and therefore some items may not be accessible to researchers. As at August 2017, only the fashion show audiovisual material has been catalogued. The remaining uncatalogued material is therefore not currently accessible for researchers.

The papers listed here are the records of three private commissions undertaken by James Fulton between 1909 and 1912, while he was resident in London. The papers include correspondence with the clients, builders and tradesmen. There are rough plans only for the house for F. Hall Gibson, who appears to have been a friend of Fulton's family.

Designed for the Masters' Common Room at Glasgow School of Art. In the early days of the School the staff did not have individual rooms but shared common rooms one for men and one for women. The desk provides writing space for three people in one piece of furniture. The construction and appearance are simple and bold, as are the other pieces of the period not intended for public display. The Ingram Street Tea Rooms were purchased by Glasgow Corporation in 1951 for £25,000 and were then rented out as various shops and warehouses.

This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. Designed as individual lights within the Library at Glasgow School of Art. Very similar in design to the thirteen lampshades which make up the central light fitting in the Library.

Designed to hang in front of the lecture theatre screen.

The original position of the fifth lamp is not known. In 1985 it was cleaned and placed above the School outer front doors, at the same time as these were repainted white.

The library was destroyed by the fire, though many metal fragments from the lights were salvaged.
