This item is an identification key showing each student depicted in the photograph on the poster under the reference number GSAA/EPH/10/204. It was created by Katie Hawson who was a volunteer at The Glasgow School Of Art Archives and Collections in 2013. Eddie Stewart, a former painting and printmaking tutor at the school helped Katie to identify each individual.

Designed by: Alan Fullarton, Brain Hendry, Christopher Platt, and Richard Robb. The exhibition is built on the idea that the architectural drawings become paintings and sculptures rather than just as end products for buildings, following London and New York architectural drawings sold as paintings. The main theme of the poster is centred around an arch, and a pendant hanging in the centre of the arch (from a drawing by David MacAuley), screen-printing by Colin Johnstone. The poster is rolled, and is in two pieces of tracing paper attached together by tape.

Includes catalogues, programmes, flyers and tickets for Glasgow School of Art exhibitions, pageants, lectures and theatrical events as well as posters from Activities Week events and student fashion shows, dating from 1890 to the present. Ephemera also includes a collection of postcards from c1900 to the present, as well as material relating to: Glasgow School of Art's involvement with the international exhibition scene; records of the Woman's Work Exhibition, London, 1900; records of the Glasgow School of Art participation in the Glasgow International Exhibition, 1901; the Exhibition of Modern Furniture, Budapest, 1902; the Brussels Exhibition, 1910; and papers documenting the organisation of the Scottish Pavilion at the Exhibition of Decorative Arts, Turin, 1902. Some of the material is in French and Italian.

14 sheets of teaching examples and one title page, assumed to have been compiled as Murphy's portfolio during his career as an art teacher in schools located in Scotland, such as Motherwell RC High School and Coatbridge Secondary School. These teaching materials include pattern designs, graphic designs (possibly for students' school activities), and woodblock printmaking examples. Most items have been marked with the intended level of students as appropriate examples for education.

Collection includes artworks and sketchbooks made by Jimmy Cosgrove as a student at the Glasgow School of Art; while working as a Tutor and the Director of the Glasgow School of Art; and afterwards, including work relating to the House for an Art Lover, and documenting travels across Europe, North America, and Mexico.

Three printed graphic designs featuring school magazine covers, annotated "Motherwell R.C. H.G. School Magazine." and attached to textured backing paper. This work was used as teaching material in schools in Scotland, as marked the level of students "Fifth year."

A variety of drawings and graphic designs created by Gerard V. Murphy, a former student at The Glasgow School of Art in the 1930s. The diverse subjects of his drawings include animals, plants, architecture, human anatomy and figures. A subfonds titled 'Teaching examples' features his teaching materials as an art teacher at schools, intended for printmaking techniques and pattern design education.

Most items have been marked with his name or student registration numbers, assuming they were created during his time as a student at GSA. The dominant materials in his works are pencil and watercolour, worked on cartridge paper.

Some of this material was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Paper conservation was completed in 2019.

At the front of the stage, facing the auditorium and illuminated from below by the footlights, is an Alsatian dog that snarls, growls and barks incessantly for five minutes, then the curtains close'.

This poster advertised two lectures focusing on films and film making which were given by both Joe McGrath and Bob Godfrey. The event was held in the Haldane building as part of The Glasgow School Of Art's annual Activities Week. Joe McGrath is known for his work as a director on films such as the 1967 version of Casino Royale, The Goon Show and Rising Damp. Bob Godfrey is an illustrator and animator, most famously known for his animation for children's television shows 'Roobarb' and 'Henry's Cat'. The poster is promoted on page 19 of The Glasgow School Of Art prospectus for 1972/73.

These posters advertised an exhibition of work by past and present students from the School Of Design and the Mackintosh School Of Architecture at The Glasgow School Of Art. Dominating both posters is a quote from John Kenneth Galbraith who was a prominent economist during this period. The quote states "It is on the artistic not less than on the engineering and scientific excellence that economic security and economic progress now depend," The exhibition was held between The Mackintosh Museum on The Glasgow School Of Art Campus and Kelvingrove Art Gallery And Museum and ran from the 9th of February to the 1st of March 1985.
