Collection of cast reliefs

Collection of brown stained round plaster cast reliefs. Mostly depicting portrait busts. Kept in eight shallow wooden drawers. Themes include: religious figures, military figures, ancient Greek and Roman figures, royalty, various historical figures, and commemorative scenes. Some include stamped titles on front, some scratched on back, some without any identification. Also includes paper timeline of ancient Roman rulers.

Collected ephemera

A collection of catalogues, invitations, programmes and dinner menus collected by Kath Whyte. Many relate to GSA alumni and events and some of the dinner menus have been signed by fellow guests. Other items include a catalogue for Kath Whyte: Embroiderer Retrospective Exhibition and a photograph album presented to Kath by Daimaru for her help with an exhibition.

Modern long case 'master' electric clock, c1960s. Formerly in the Janitors Office, it was used to run the Mackintosh 'slave' clocks throughout the building. Heavy pendulum stored separately.

Classical study

Study of two storey arched colonnade. This drawing was gifted as part of an archive of drawings, supposedly all by Bone. However, the School of Architecture stamp is seemingly from 1939-40 and as Bone was already on the staff of GSA at this time, this is probably the work of an otherwise unknown student.

This series of cuttings relates to the activities of the School and its pupils from 1864 onwards. Chinese Emperor ceramic figure

Cream coloured glazed ceramic Chinese figure in court dress. Some damage (repaired) to neck and missing hands. Old paper label with no. 629/20 and 'Sch 76' in red paint inside figure suggest that it was part of the School's handling collection.

Child's Dress

Yugoslavian. Sleeveless dress with side seams and hem decorated with red, blue and black embroidery. Tasselled braid belt. From Bosnia. This item was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Textile conservation was completed in 2019.
