This poster advertised an exhibtion which showcased the work of design students from The Glasgow School Of Art in the Cassina Gallery in Milan. The exhibition took place as a result of the connections between Cassina Design in Italy and The Glasgow School Of Art. The poster was designed by Gordon Huntly who was the head of graphic design at The Glasgow School Of Art at that time. It was printed in the Foulis Building on an offset lithography printing press. The information on the poster translates as: "Design from Glasgow School Of Art: Cassina in Milan, March 23rd to April 6th. Ceramics. Embroidery and fabrics. Design for furniture, furnishings and industrial products. Jewellery and Silverware. Art Graphics, Illustration. Printed Fabrics".

Conrad McKenna’s correspondence and materials relating to The Glasgow Summer School held in San Gimignano during his various teaching roles at The Glasgow School of Art. Including a combination of typed and hand written materials, newspaper clippings, floor plans and printed ephermera. Including correspondence in English and Italian with: The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Robert Gordons Institute of Technology, Universita Italiana per Stranieri, Provincial Tourist Office – Sienna, Societa Dante Alighieri, Convento S. Agostino, Comune Di Bresica, Intercultural and Permanent Education Centre (San Gimignano), and Professor Mario Serchi. Correspondence generally details travel and accommodation arrangements, itineraries and costings for The Summer School at San Gimignano alongside its relationships and partnerships with individuals and institutions. Selections of correspondence detail Italian students’ visit to Scotland. Also includes correspondence with the Intercultural and Permanent Education Centre, San Gimignano, detail Draft Articles of Association; an account of The Glasgow Summer School in 1969 by Douglas Percy Bliss, which describes San Gimignano, the Church of Saint Agostino where the school was held and accommodated and the school’s interaction with the local population. A typed account of the origins of The Summer School at San Gimignano by Conrad McKenna is also included. Printed ephemera includes two brochures from 1969 and 1971 detailing itineraries, arrangements and costs of The Glasgow Summer School.
This report details architecture student Harry A Wheeler's experiences when he travelled to Italy after being awarded the John Keppie Scholarship in 1948. The John Keppie Scholarship gave a bursary of £100 to one architecture student per year to fund a study trip of their choice. This report details student Pamela Mitchell's experiences when she traveled around Europe for three months upon receiving a travelling scholarship at The Glasgow School of Art in 1959. Mitchell was a student at the School between 1955 and 1959 and studied Textiles. She received the Haldane Travelling Scholarship which was a cash sum of £75. She visted the cities of Copenhagen, Hamburg, Basle, Milan, Venice, Florence, Ravena, Porto Garibaldi, Ferrara, Verona and Paris. The report is coherantly laid out with details of the time spent in each of these cities.
