This poster advertised an exhibition of photography held in the Victoria Cafe from the 9th to the 20th of October 1978. Exhibiting in this show were a number of artists including: Elizabeth Urquhart, Ray McKenzie, Douglas Bryce, Chris Webster, Denis Crossan and Jack Fordy. The Victoria Cafe, where the show was held, was part of the original student union across from the Mackintosh building on GSA campus. The name "Douglas R. Bryce Graphics '78" is handwritten on the back of the poster.
This poster advertised a lecture given by Marina Von Salem on the Die Brücke movement, an artistic movement created by a number of German expressionist artists in the early 20th century. Die Brücke is German for 'The Bridge' and the movement was refered to as "The German expressionist bridge to the future".
This poster advertised a lecture given by well known artist David Hockney which was held in the Haldane building at The Glasgow School Of Art on Thursday the 24th of February.
This poster advertised a lecture given by the American scholar Theodore Roszak on his book entitled 'The Making of a Counter Culture'. The text examines 1960s counterculture in North America and Europe and is credited as one of the first examples of the term counterculture. In this lecture held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre at The Glasgow School Of Art, Roszak discussed the theme of "Conscience and the Consciousness in Art". The word "Villa" is written on the reverse of the poster in pencil.

This poster advertised a lecture given by Gerry Taylor, a designer who worked for Scottsass Associati and Memphis in Milan. This was a design consultancy run by Ettore Scottsass which specialised in large scale architectural projects reflecting the style of the Memphis artistic movement which was prevalant at that time. Scottsass employed a number of designers from different backgrounds of which Gerry Taylor was one. The lecture was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre on Monday the 16th of May.

This poster advertised a lecture given by filmmaker Lutz Becker who is known for his political and art documentaries. He is also considered to be a contemporary of Derek Jarman. Becker is most famous for finding missing home videos of Adolf Hitler's girlfriend Eva Braun which give an insight into Hitler's personal life. This footage was edited by Becker and used in the World War II documentary series 'The World at War' in 1974.

According to Jimmy Cosgrove, who was the previous deputy director of The Glasgow School Of Art in the 1990s, the New Music Group was a fusion of medieval and modern music styles of the 70s. It is believed that this event was associated with Neil Morrison, a tutor who made lutes and played numerous concerts at both The Glasgow School Of Art and the Third Eye Centre.

This poster advertised a lecture given by illustrator and animator Bob Godfrey. Godfrey is famous for his animated cartoons including Roobarb, Noah and Nelly and Henry's Cat. The lecture was held on the 30th of May 1979 and part of it involved Godfrey offering to critique the student's own films.
This poster advertised a lecture given by architecture critic Rayner Banham which was held in the Haldane Building on the 21st of February 1962. Banham was also a prolific writer and is best known for his theoretical treatise 'Theory and Design in the First Machine Age' (1960) and for his book 'Los Angeles: The Architecture of Four Ecologies' (1971). The poster states "Come on babey, do the mega structure" which is a pun on the 1962 pop song 'Loco-Motion' by Eva Boyd.

The lecture focused on the use of print and multiples in art practice and was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre as part of The Glasgow School Of Art's annual activities week. Activities week was an important part of the school's curriculum during the 1970s. All classes stopped and students were instead required to attend lectures and film screenings.

The exhibition was held in the Newbery Lounge in the Newbery Tower at The Glasgow School Of Art. The exhibition title refers to Isaac Wolfson who was a Scottish business man and philanthropist known for his successful mail order service.
