These notes are Patrick's own writings but have been copied out by his daughter due to the original notes being illegible. The notes describe his time at Glasgow School of Art and include descriptions on societies (i.e. The Dramatic Society) as well as the etching workshop and studio spaces.

Please note that this material is not yet fully catalogued and therefore some items may not be accessible to researchers.

This collection contains works of art done by Margaret Elizabeth Galt while in secondary school; her Glasgow School of Art general course and diploma course notebooks, along with textile samples; and notebooks from after her time studying at GSA.

A number of photographs featuring Sheena Reid and other GSA students.

• correspondence from Glasgow School of Art to the Derby School of Art, September - October 1885
• correspondence from the Derby School of Art to Glasgow School of Art, October 1885
• Mr. Simmonds' cash book, 1881-1885.

All the correspondence listed here occurred after Simmonds left the Glasgow School of Art. The major correspondent is the School Secretary, Edward Catterns, and all the letters from him to Simmonds are the draft or copy letters kept by the school office. Other correspondence includes the letters between Catterns and the Derby School of Art regarding the situation with Simmonds.

Claim for monies due, several students have passed Department of Science and Art examinations under the old rules.Handwritten copy of letter.
