This poster advertised a lecture given by architecture critic Rayner Banham which was held in the Haldane Building on the 21st of February 1962. Banham was also a prolific writer and is best known for his theoretical treatise 'Theory and Design in the First Machine Age' (1960) and for his book 'Los Angeles: The Architecture of Four Ecologies' (1971). The poster states "Come on babey, do the mega structure" which is a pun on the 1962 pop song 'Loco-Motion' by Eva Boyd.

This poster advertised an event featuring the New Music Group which was held in architecture studio 30 in the Mackintosh Building. According to previous deputy director of the school Jimmy Cosgrove, the New Music Group was a fusion of medieval and modern musical styles. This event is believed to be associated with Neil Morrison who was a tutor at The Glasgow School Of Art. Morrison was known for making his own lutes and playing numerous concerts at both the Third Eye Centre and The Glasgow School Of Art.

The poster advertised an exhibition of work by the Scottish architect, artist and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The show was held in the German town of Darmstadt, known for its Art Nouveau architecture and design. The show was held in the Hesse State Museum and was open from the 27th of February to 4th of May 1969. The poster is a graphic design by Fritz Fischer.

This poster advertised an exhibition marking the centenary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's birth. The show itself was held in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and was open to the public from the 30th of October to 5th of December 1968. The exhibition was sponsored by the Edinburgh Festival Society and arranged by the Scottish Arts Council.

This poster advertised a lecture by illustrator and architect Louis Hellman. Hellman is known for his satirical illustrative drawings that comment on current architectural trends. The lecture was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre at The Glasgow School Of Art and was advertised as "an illustrated talk on architecture and cartoons".

This poster advertised a lecture given by architect, teacher and writer Cedric Price. Price was known for his eccentric architectural designs that were perceived as both socially enabling and playful. The lecture was held in the Haldane Building at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 10th of February.

This poster advertised a lecture given by the German architect Herman Hertzberger. Hertzberger is widely considered to be one of the influences behind the Dutch Structuralist movement of the mid 20th century. The lecture was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre on The Glasgow School Of Art campus on the 20th of February 1975.

This poster advertised a symposium lecture that looked at the positive and negative aspects of living and working in Glasgow. The lecture was held in the Haldane Building at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 20th of February 1976.

This poster advertised a seminar lead by Dr. John McHale which focused on a theme entitled "The Future Of The Future". He did this seminar three times, twice at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 4th and 5th of November and once at The University Of Strathclyde on the 4th of November 1976. McHale was the Director of the Centre for Integrative Studies and School of Advanced Technology for the State University of New York. He is credited as the founder of the Independent Group, a London based artistic movement which kickstarted British Pop Art. Members of the group included Richard Hamilton, Eduardo Paolozzi, and architects Alison and Peter Smithson. The poster was designed and printed by Bob Stewart, who was a senior lecturer in textile design at this time.

Poster for lecture 'Ron Heron Pentagram', Bourdon Lecture Theatre, Glasgow, 26 Apr. The year for the poster is not given but is believed to be late 1970s to early 1980s. As the lecture was held on a Thursday , the year would be 1979 or 1984.

The exact date and location of the 1982 fashion show are unknown.  Other shows held around this time were however held in the spring, and in the Assembly building or in the Assembly Hall of the Bourdon Building. The film comprises footage of students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include rainbow, futuristic, Oriental, Egyptian, ballgowns, stripes, geometry, hats, formal, off-the-shoulder, utility wear, white, accessories, metallic, fantasy, swimwear. The show also features an extravagant period ballgown, designed by Kenny McLellan, which was subsequently shown at the “Young Blood” exhibition at the Barbican Centre in London, in November 1983 to January 1984. The set for the show consisted of a pale, self-coloured fabric backdrop. The soundtrack for this film was added during the editing phase of the film and contains music which was played at the fashion show. The exhibition was hosted by the National Galleries of Scotland, and launched the Scottish Photography Archive. The featured image is 'Edinburgh Architecture - Scott Monument - in construction D.O. Hill'.

The 1984 Fashion Show was held in the Assembly Building from 30th April to 5th May 1984. The film comprises images of the fashion show poster, followed by footage of the audience arriving at the venue and students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include music, pastels, metallic, rainbow, wedding, hats, white, bright colours, jewellery, off-the-shoulder, flamenco. Students involved in the show came from a variety of subject areas and years, including: Embroidery and Weaving; and Printed Textiles. All the textiles students modelling designed garments for the show. The set for the show consisted of large musical notes and staves, plus piano keyboards. The 1986 Fashion Show was held in the Assembly Hall from 10th to 15th March 1986. The film comprises footage of students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include Egyptian, metallic, wedding, Queen of Hearts, cloaks, formalwear, masks, hats, bright colours, geometry, flamboyant, utility wear. There is also a dress made from Benson and Hedges cigarette packets – the model wearing this dress is smoking on stage. There were also a number of Harris Tweed garments in the show as Harris Tweed ran a design competition that year. Students involved in the show came from a variety of subject areas and years, including: Embroidery and Weaving; Silversmithing and Jewellery; and Printed Textiles. All the textiles students modelling designed garments for the show. It is believed that this show had a mix of professional models and students. The models were less experienced models from agencies. The set for the show consisted of a garage workshop setting with car and motor parts at the rear and sides of the stage. It was designed by the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. The hair for this show was by Taylor Ferguson. The soundtrack for this film was added during the editing phase of the film and contains music which was played at the fashion show. In 1988, a Mackintosh architecture exhibition opened in Certaldo in Tuscany, Italy. It was organised by Comune di Certaldo in Palazzo Vicariale di Certaldo from 31st July to 30th September. A book was published by Electa Firenze about the exhibition including images of architectural drawings, photographs, sketches and paintings. This image is of a blue, beige, and black coloured architectural drawing.

In 1988, a Mackintosh architecture exhibition opened in Certaldo in Tuscany, Italy. It was organised by Comune di Certaldo in Palazzo Vicariale di Certaldo from 31st July to 30th September. A book was published by Electa Firenze about the exhibition including images of architectural drawings, photographs, sketches and paintings. It features a Willow Tea Rooms drawing in cream, black, blue, green red and purple.

This poster advertised an exhibition showcasing work made by seven international architects who were asked to produce work inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The poster conveys how "seven of the world's leading architects have made installations in the Glasgow School of Art. They are personal homages to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and a mark of his international significance today." The poster was designed by Blue Peach, Glasgow. The show, held in the Mackintosh Museum on the Glasgow School of Art's campus featured the work of: - Filippo Alison (Naples) - Edward Cullinan (London) - Aldo Van Eyck (Amsterdam) - Hans Hollein (Vienna) - Arata Isozaki (Tokyo) - Lean Krier (Luxembourg) - Stanley Tigerman (Chicago)

Poster for lecture 'Mackintosh and the Future', Glasgow Film Theatre, Glasgow. The lecture was given by Enric Miralles, who was a visiting lecturer at the Mackintosh School of Architecture. The date of the lecture was 03 Oct, no year is given but is believed to be 1998.

Poster for display of final year projects from the Mackintosh School of Architecture 'Hypothesis: Forms of regeneration on the Clyde', Merchant City, Glasgow, 29 Nov 2002-01 Dec 2002. The display features the work of students Andres, Chow, Innes, Logan, Lugar-Mawson, Nowak, O'Hagan, Radhakrishnan, Shepherd, Teoh and Urquhart (only surnames given).

The poster advertised an exhibition showcasing work by Charles Rennie Mackintosh which was held in Port Vendres in the Pyrénées-Orientales in the South of France. On the poster it says "Un Ecossais En Catalogne", which translates as "A Scottish in Catalonia". Featured on the front of the poster is an image of a landscape watercolour of La Rue du Soleil, a piece by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Mackintosh has strong associations with the South of France as he and Margaret MacDonald lived there from 1923 to 1927. The exhibition itself was held in association with the Entente Cordiale and the Glasgow School of Art.
