The poster was printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in design at The Glasgow School Of Art at this time.

This poster advertised a lecture given by the Scottish artist and illustrator Emilio Coia. Coia was born in Glasgow and studied at The Glasgow School Of Art. He is recognised for his work for The Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as the Scotsman newspaper. Coia was elected as president of The Glasgow Art Club, a role which he held until his death in 1997. This lecture focused on Coia's surreal drawings of famous buildings, with a particular focus on the Sydney Opera House, and was held at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 19th of February 1973.

This portion of the poster advertises a fashion show which was held in the school's Assembly Hall from the 10th to the 15th of March. Tickets were priced at £2.50 with a £1 discount for concessions. Taylor Fegusson hairdressers were responsible for styling the model's hair and the set was designed by the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama.

Exhibiting in this show were a number of artists including: Elizabeth Urquhart, Ray McKenzie, Douglas Bryce, Chris Webster, Denis Crossan and Jack Fordy. The Victoria Cafe, where the show was held, was part of the original student union across from the Mackintosh building on GSA campus. The name "Douglas R. Bryce Graphics '78" is handwritten on the back of the poster.
