For example: scenes of George's Rolls Royce at Doune, Broughton House and an Albion car dating from 1920. The Edinburgh material includes: Museum of Childhood, Edinburgh University, New Town and George Street lane sales. Some negatives relate to photographs in the previous folder entitled 'Edinburgh Prints'.

Includes: numerous pictures of clyde puffers steaming up and down the river, Grangemouth pictured from South Alloa, St Enoch Subway in the 1950s and taxi rank, a sail to the Kyles of Bute from Glasgow, Govan, cranes, bridges and various dock scenes.

All are taken by George Oliver with the exception of one which has been taken by Flora Ritchie, the cousin of George's wife, Cordelia Oliver. This photograph depicts a street scene in Townhead, Glasgow, c1950s. The remaining photographs depict various street scenes in Glasgow from 1948-1980s, most of which have been annotated. The earliest photograph dates from 1948 and depicts traction engines pulling North British Loco. Co. engine along Sauchiehall Street en route for the docks. Other scenes include: the construction of the M8, Gorbals, Queen Street Station and trace horses on West Nile Street c1948.
