Correspondence generally relates to The Glasgow School of Art, regarding: Conrad McKenna’s time as a student and employee of GSA as a tutor in The Glasgow School of Art Evening School, the General Course (Department of Design) and First Year Course. Copy of poster for an exhibition called "Inclined to Design"

A second paper copy of a poster of an exhibition of work by four local students architects from the Mackintosh School of Architecture. The poster has title of "Inclined to design", held at Greenock, The Arts Guild Campbell Street, from 9th to 20th September (mentioned with no year). It designed by: Alan Fullarton, Brain Hendry, Christopher Platt, and Richard Robb. The exhibit is built on the idea that the architectural drawings become as painting and sculptures rather than just as end products for buildings, and following London and New York architectural drawings sold as paintings. The main theme of the poster centred around an arch, and a pendant hanging in the centre of the arch ( from a drawing by David MacAuley), screenprinting by Colin Johnstone.

Travel Report

This report details student Christopher Grant's experiences when he travelled around Europe for six months upon receiving a travelling scholarship at The Glasgow School of Art in 1957. Grant recieved the Travelling Scholarship for Post-Diploma students which was the value of £120. Grant was a commercial art student at the School between 1952 and 1957. He used his traveling scholarship to visit the countries of Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and France. His report is coherantly split into details of the time spent in each of these countries with title pages featuring the stamps of the different countries.

The collections includes proofs for book covers and pamphlets, personal correspondence relating to his studies and subsequent career, different ephemera relating to Haswell Miller's student days and photographs of artworks and students and staff members of The Glasgow School of Art.

This collection also includes material relating to Georges-Marie Baltus (DC 098/2) , including photographs of his artworks and his Italian and European trips, and Francis H. Newbery (DC 098/3).
