Nine different newspaper clippings ranging from May 21, 2000 to December 30, 2019. Include a range of topics surrounding Alasdair Gray including reviews of his book "Lanark", personal interviews, him leaving his post at the University of Glasgow, exhibitions celebrating his life, an advertisement of a new book of his, an art showing of his, and finally his obituary. Newspaper companies range from the Sunday Herald, Herald Magazine, and Sunday Times. Includes a few annotations including dates and topics on some of the clippings by Veronica Matthew. Most include images of Alasdair and his art. One of the nine clippings is a photocopy of a newspaper clipping but the remainder are all originals. Comes in a brown paper folder with "Alisdair's card. 2 / newspaper articles relating to / Lanark + Alisdair".

The cardboard also displays additional annotations by Haswell Miller: "We accepted him with all kindness and welcome. After a few weeks he called the staff together and practically told us he was going to sack the lot! I anticipated this by accepting the keepership of the National Galleries. Edinburgh. (Not very well qualified but standard were low in 1930)".

The evening entertainment included the presentation of two plays by Francis H. Newbery. It shows photographs of four principals in the plays: Miss J. Cameron, Mr A. G. Crombie, Mr J. C. M'Fayden, and Mr J. Huck.

The collections includes proofs for book covers and pamphlets, personal correspondence relating to his studies and subsequent career, different ephemera relating to Haswell Miller's student days and photographs of artworks and students and staff members of The Glasgow School of Art.

This collection also includes material relating to Georges-Marie Baltus (DC 098/2) , including photographs of his artworks and his Italian and European trips, and Francis H. Newbery (DC 098/3).
