Note from the artist: Work produced for the 'degree show' in the McLellan Galleries in June 2014 following the fire. As part of the final year group affected by the fire we were asked to provide just one image. This image (not part of my original degree show, selected for this show only) is a snapshot I took of my studio space before install.

The Glasgow School Of Art Fashion Show was held in the Assembly Building on The Glasgow School Of Art campus. The show ran once per day from the 11th to the 16th of March 1985. Tickets for this event were priced at £2 with a discounted price of £1.50 for students, O.A.Ps, parties and the unemployed.
This poster advertised the opening times of The Glasgow School Of Art student union, which is often referred to as The Vic Bar. The bar continues to be a large part of The Glasgow School Of Art community with a number of club nights, concerts and exhibitions being held there. The poster reads: "In the beginning there was darkness, and much dryness of many throats. Until a voice from the void said let there be cheap drink and the sound of many feet bopping it out on the floor. It gave us seven weeks to accomplish this task. Out from the depths came the chosen ones who stripped and screwed until on the seventh week came!!! A place of greatness. The hip, the hop, the thee place to be THE VIC. Hours of boozing service 11am - 2.30pm, 5pm - 11pm, with a licence to kill at the weekends - till 2.00am."

A key naming most of the students can be found alongside the poster under the same reference number. The list was compiled with the help of Eddie Stewart who was a former student at The Glasgow School Of Art who then became a tutor in painting and printmaking. Stewart graduated with an undergraduate degree in drawing and painting in 1988 and is included in the photograph on this poster. He then went on to do a Masters in 1990. The poster was designed by The Glasgow School Of Art and printed at David J Clark Limited.
