This poster advertised an exhibition of photographic prints by photographer Andy Stark, who is currently the head of photography in the communication design department at The Glasgow School Of Art. The exhibition was held in the Podium Gallery in the Bourdon Building at The Glasgow School Of Art between the 6th and the 27th of October 2003. The poster was designed by Vanilla Design.

This poster advertised a lecture given by musician, artist and actor Ian Dury who is most famously known for being the lead singer of Ian Dury and the Blockheads. The lecture was held in the Bourdon Hall in the Bourdon building on The Glasgow School Of Art campus.

This poster advertised a performance of jazz music by George Melly and The John Chilton's Feetwarmers held at Bourdon Hall within The Glasgow School Of Art on the 3rd of March 1992. Tickets for the event were priced at £3 and could be purchased from the registrar's office and at Wylie's bookshop. George Melly was a successful jazz musician, performer and lecturer.

This poster advertised an exhibition which showcased the work of graduating postgraduate fine art students from 1988. Exhibitors included David Bowe, Jillian Campbell, Kathy Chambers, Kirstie Cohen, Matthew N. Dalziel, Mark Durden, Peter Finnemore, Steven Hurrel, Evelyn Jardine, Simon C. Laurie, Olivia Lloyd, Maree Meahan, Iona A. E. Montgomery, Ann Vance, Alison Watt and Eveleen Wright. The exhibition was held in the Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School Of Art from the 18th to the 23rd of June 1988. The poster was designed at the school and features a photograph of the exhibitors sitting on top of The Glasgow School Of Art's Bourdon Building which was taken by Stanley C. Shepherd.

Poster for lecture 'Ron Heron Pentagram', Bourdon Lecture Theatre, Glasgow, 26 Apr. The year for the poster is not given but is believed to be late 1970s to early 1980s. As the lecture was held on a Thursday , the year would be 1979 or 1984.

This poster advertised an exhibition of photographic works showing the architectural properties of unbaked earth. The exhibition was held in association with the French Institute and ran from the 25th of Februrary to the 17th of March 1983 in the Bourdon Building and the Green Room.

The exact date and location of the 1982 fashion show are unknown.  Other shows held around this time were however held in the spring, and in the Assembly building or in the Assembly Hall of the Bourdon Building. The film comprises footage of students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include rainbow, futuristic, Oriental, Egyptian, ballgowns, stripes, geometry, hats, formal, off-the-shoulder, utility wear, white, accessories, metallic, fantasy, swimwear. The show also features an extravagant period ballgown, designed by Kenny McLellan, which was subsequently shown at the “Young Blood” exhibition at the Barbican Centre in London, in November 1983 to January 1984. The set for the show consisted of a pale, self-coloured fabric backdrop. The soundtrack for this film was added during the editing phase of the film and contains music which was played at the fashion show. This poster advertised an exhibition of work by the illustrator Ralph Steadman which took place in the Bourdon Building in March 1981. Steadman is known for his illustrative work for Hunter S. Thompson, Private Eye Magazine and the New York Times. The reverse of the poster is annotated in pencil with the date '1981'.

This poster advertised a concert by the eccentric jazz musician George Melly which was held in the Bourdon Assembly Hall on Tuesday the 3rd of March 1981. Another poster advertising a George Melly concert at The Glasgow School Of Art in 1992 can be found under the reference number GSAA/EPH/10/30.

This poster advertised a production of Dylan Thomas's play 'Under Milk Wood' by The Glasgow School Of Art Drama Society. The production ran from the 23rd to the 26th of April in the Bourdon Building on The Glasgow School Of Art campus. Tickets were priced at £1 and could be purchased from The Ticket Centre in Candleriggs or from The Glasgow School Of Art's Students Representational Council Office.

This poster advertised a retirement dinner for Lennox Paterson. Paterson worked at The Glasgow School Of Art between 1964 and 1979, occupying various roles including Head of Design and Deputy Head of the school. He was highly regarded for his wood engravings of animals and the poster features elements of this style. The event was held in the Bourdon Hall at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 20th of December 1979. The poster was designed and printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in printed textiles at this time.

A folded brochure for a supper marking the retiral of G W Lennox Paterson in the Bourdon Assembly Hall, on Thursday 20th December. Includes a printed portrait on handmade paper on the inside by Colin Wilson, and a quote that reads: "About as like me as a duff bottle of Hirondelle."

This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. The Ferry on the River Blyth, Walberswick, Suffolk. The subject is the ferry at Walberswick in Suffolk where Newbery and his family spent many holidays.
