The aim of these drawings is to study and understand the materials used at that type of buildings which are locally produced and manually built establishing Scottish vernacular building style.

Free hand coloured detail drawings for different types of walls which all formed "a boundary between gardens or parks and the pavement". The aim of these drawings is to study the types and methods of using the local materials in Scottish and English vernacular buildings.

Includes material for the study of vernacular stone walling from different places in Scotland and England.

Although these drawings are all free hand sketches, they also include details of the entire building's dimensions and materials used indoors and outdoors.

It designed by: Alan Fullarton, Brain Hendry, Christopher Platt, and Richard Robb. The exhibit is built on the idea that the architectural drawings become as painting and sculptures rather than just as end products for buildings, and following London and New York architectural drawings sold as paintings. The main theme of the poster centred around an arch, and a pendant hanging in the centre of the arch ( from a drawing by David MacAuley), screenprinting by Colin Johnstone.
