This poster advertised an event featuring the New Music Group which was held in architecture studio 30 in the Mackintosh Building. According to previous deputy director of the school Jimmy Cosgrove, the New Music Group was a fusion of medieval and modern musical styles. This event is believed to be associated with Neil Morrison who was a tutor at The Glasgow School Of Art. Morrison was known for making his own lutes and playing numerous concerts at both the Third Eye Centre and The Glasgow School Of Art.

This poster advertised a symposium lecture that looked at the positive and negative aspects of living and working in Glasgow. The lecture was held in the Haldane Building at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 20th of February 1976.

This poster advertised a seminar lead by Dr. John McHale which focused on a theme entitled "The Future Of The Future". He did this seminar three times, twice at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 4th and 5th of November and once at The University Of Strathclyde on the 4th of November 1976. McHale was the Director of the Centre for Integrative Studies and School of Advanced Technology for the State University of New York. He is credited as the founder of the Independent Group, a London based artistic movement which kickstarted British Pop Art. Members of the group included Richard Hamilton, Eduardo Paolozzi, and architects Alison and Peter Smithson. The poster was designed and printed by Bob Stewart, who was a senior lecturer in textile design at this time.

This poster advertised a debate which dealt with the positive and negative aspects of studying at The Glasgow School Of Art which was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre on the 8th of December 1976. Speaking for the school in the debate included Roger Hoare, Mike Roschlau, Tom Lyden and Vladimir Soukoup. Speaking against were Dugald Cameron, Julian Gibb, Colin McNaught and Jim Cathcart. Harry J. Barnes was the chairperson. The poster states: "The Motion: This house believes that this art school creates no prospects, no jobs, no firm conclusions, no hopes, few aspirations, little money, nothing but nostalgia..." The poster was printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in design at The Glasgow School Of Art at this time.

The exhibition included work in a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, wood engraving, graphics and illustration. The poster also details that The National Book League exhibition of Book Design and Production was running concurrently with the O'Connor exhibition in the Mackintosh Library.

The main feature was an exhibition of work by John O'Connor which was held in the Mackintosh Museum and featured pieces in a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, wood-engraving, graphics and illustration. O'Connor spent a brief period lecturing at The Glasgow School Of Art in the graphic design department from 1978 to 1979. The second exhibition was entitled 'The National Book League Exhibition Of Book Design and Production' and was held in the Mackintosh Library. Die Brücke is German for 'The Bridge' and the movement was refered to as "The German expressionist bridge to the future".

This poster advertised a talk given by interior designer John Siddeley at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 24th of February 1977. Siddeley's notable commissions include the redecoration of the Swedish Embassy, the design of the Harlequin Suite at the Dorchester Hotel and the Park Lane Hotel in Piccadilly.

This poster advertised a Glasgow School Of Art fashion show that ran from the 24th to the 29th April 1978. Tickets for this event were priced at £1 and could be purchased from the registrar's office at The Glasgow School Of Art as well as The Design Centre on St Vincent Street. This particular print is number five of ten editions.

The 1978 Fashion Show was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre from the 24th to 28th April 1978. The film comprises a combination of still images and film footage of students preparing for the show behind the scenes, and modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments. Styles and themes include metallic fabrics, sportswear, bodysuits and off-the-shoulder dresses. Children’s clothes were also modelled in the show although these are not shown in the film. Garments were designed and modelled mostly by students or former students. Indigo Designs also designed evening dresses for the show. Students involved in the show came from a variety of subject areas and years, including: 1st year; Embroidery and Weaving; Textiles; and Graphics. Hair was by the Hely Design Group and shoes were from Ravel. The set for the show consisted of a pale, self-coloured ruched fabric backdrop. This poster advertised an exhibition of photography held in the Victoria Cafe from the 9th to the 20th of October 1978. Exhibiting in this show were a number of artists including: Elizabeth Urquhart, Ray McKenzie, Douglas Bryce, Chris Webster, Denis Crossan and Jack Fordy. The Victoria Cafe, where the show was held, was part of the original student union across from the Mackintosh building on GSA campus. The name "Douglas R. Bryce Graphics '78" is handwritten on the back of the poster.
