Banham was also a prolific writer and is best known for his theoretical treatise 'Theory and Design in the First Machine Age' (1960) and for his book 'Los Angeles: The Architecture of Four Ecologies' (1971). The poster states "Come on babey, do the mega structure" which is a pun on the 1962 pop song 'Loco-Motion' by Eva Boyd.
