These notes are Patrick's own writings but have been copied out by his daughter due to the original notes being illegible. The notes describe his time at Glasgow School of Art and include descriptions on societies (i.e. The Dramatic Society) as well as the etching workshop and studio spaces.

The newscutting informs of the reception and dance that were held at The Glasgow School of Art on the day it was published. The evening entertainment included the presentation of two plays by Francis H. Newbery. It shows photographs of four principals in the plays: Miss J. Cameron, Mr A. G. Crombie, Mr J. C. M'Fayden, and Mr J. Huck.

Includes: correspondence; presscutting from the Glasgow Herald, 23 Jan 1911, about Ann Macbeth and her address to the Glasgow Ruskin Society about needlecraft; cuttings from 'The Educational News' about the scheme, 1910; copy letters from Macbeth to Newbery, 1912, reporting her findings of the standard of needlework in Queen's Park and Shawlands Schools; memo regarding the Needlework and Embroidery, Article 55, Saturday Classes.
