A collection of photographs of the Mackintosh Building, including: aerial photographs and site plans; photographs of the exterior of the building; photographs of the interior of the building including the entrance, corridors, studios, offices and other rooms; photographs of furniture; photographs of scale drawings of furniture; photographs of metalwork and other details.

System of arrangement
Photographs have generally been categorised by location according to which area of the building is depicted, for example, exterior photographs, photographs of the sub-basement, the basement, the ground floor, the 1st floor, the 2nd floor, followed by metalwork, furniture, details, etc. A group of photographs taken by the Royal Commission for Ancient and Historical Monuments in 2003/4 has been kept as a set in its original order.
