Mary Wilson Murdoch was born on 20th July 1887 and attended The Glasgow School of Art from 1912 to 1915 as an evening student of drawing and painting and life. In the 1915-1915 she was taught by Mr Peter Wylie Davidson who was the assistant master of decorative art. Murdoch's occupation was as a school teacher.
