Original: Statue of a young nude male found at Hadrian's Villa, Tivoli c1730. Antinous (November 29, 111-October 30, 130) was a member of the entourage of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, to whom he was beloved. Original currently in the collection of The Capitoline, Rome, Italy.
This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 15th June 2018.
Original: A second century BC marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike (Victory). Discovered in 1863, on the island of Samothrace. Thought to be by a discple of Lysippus or by pupils of Scopas. It was created to not only honor the goddess, Nike, but to honor a sea battle. Original currently in the collection of the Louvre, Paris, France.
This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 15th June 2018.
Original: Statue of Augustus Caesar which was discovered on April 20, 1863, in the Villa of Livia at Prima Porta, near Rome. Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus (23 Sep 63BC-19 Aug AD14) was the first ruler of the Roman Empire, which he ruled alone from January 27BC until his death in AD14. Original currently in the collection of the Braccio Nuovo of the Vatican, Rome, Italy.
Large version of a Newbery Medal cast in metal. Portrait of Newbery (obverse); Mackintosh building (reverse). Incribed obverse: "To Commemorate the services of Fra H Newbery as director of the Glasgow School of Art 1885-1918". Design includes portrait of Newbery and Glasgow coat of arms. Reverse: "Awarded for distinction in diploma work".
Single-sided metal casting of a medal in honour of the sculptor Eugene Guillame. Inscription: "Eugene Guillaumes Statuaire / Ne a Montbarf Cote d'Or / IV / IVILLET / MDCCCXXII / Ringel d'Illze ach SC/ MDCCCLXXXIV". The medal depicts a portrait of Eugene Guillame and several symbols representing sculpture and the arts.
Plaster bust after a terracotta bust of Girolamo Benivieni executed in 1863 by Giovani Bastianini in the collections of the Louvre, Paris. However, significant differences between the plaster bust by J Giusti & Co and the original bust by Bastianini, particularly the shape of the hat, suggest that the plaster bust is derivative of an unidentified intermediary copy.
Plaster casts of a left and right anatomical feet. Both feet show details of musculature, and the heel of the right foot is slightly elevated. On top of each leg is a maker's stamp that reads "J Giusti & Co Makers, St Vincent St, Glasgow". The inward facing edge of each base includes the inscription "J Giusti & Co, Glasgow". These anatomical feet are the only items in the Giusti Plaster Cast Collection to include such an incription, and the presence of both the inscriptions and the maker's stamp suggests that the feet may have been both sculpted by J. Giusti & Co. (likely in the late 19th century) and subsequently reproduced by the company.

Original: Lorenzo Ghiberti, 1452. Bronze. Gates of Paradise, Baptistry di San Giovanni, Florence, Italy. Currently in the collection of the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, Florence, Italy. In 2019, this item was conserved and now includes a central fragment, which was originally catalogued as a separate cast (PC/187).
