Designed for the Card Room at Hous'hill in Nitshill in Glasgow. 'A unique and most elegant design, miniaturising some of the elements of the Library timbers at the Glasgow School of Art in a writing table. The paired beams seen in the Library, almost complete at this date, are echoes in the paired legs, and the chamfering of the balusters and the bent laths around the balcony are repeated in the rails below the drawers... D.1909.12 shows the table located between two chairs in a bay off the Card Room [at Hous'hill].' (Roger Billcliffe).

The majority of this piece of furniture was lost, however a brass repousse panel plus three handles, all damaged, were salvaged and have undergone conservation and consolidation work. The original item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).

An illuminated Roll of Honour commissioned by The Glasgow School of Art to commemorate staff and students from Glasgow School of Art who served in World War One. It was designed by a former student, Dorothy Doddrell in 1925, and takes the form of an illuminated parchment in paint and gold leaf, set within a substantial copper and wood framed triptych – one large, central panel and two smaller side panels. The Roll of Honour lists 405 staff, students and governors who served during the conflict. It also cites the regiments served and references those who tragically died.

This single spindle is from the curved back rail of a Windsor chair, formerly in the library of Glasgow School of Art. Designed for the Library at Glasgow School of Art. A more elegant version of the windsor chairs designed for the Dutch Kitchen at Argyle Street (Billcliffe 1906.49). These chairs proved much too delicate for their original purpose; only eight of approximately forty have survived, and all of these have had to be reinforced. Cream, synthetic velvet full-length dress coat. High neck, fitted bodice with long sleeves gathered on the shoulder and fastened with three double covered buttons at waist level. An open skirt falls in a narrow A line below with simple edge to edge closing on the front and a shaped central back panel to suggest a train. Badly marked by decay of metal sections of the covered buttons. Believed to have been designed and possibly made by either Violet or Daisy Anderson (see DC 022).

Wedding head dress. Thought to have been designed and possibly also made by either Daisy or Violet Anderson (see DC 022).

Ivory coloured full length dress in two layers, with a fine gauze silk over silk satin.  Braided shoelace straps, fitted bodice and full skirt with decorative flounces.  Eighteen covered buttons down back.  Some damage through wear and from the metal parts of the buttons. Thought to have been designed and possibly also made by either Daisy or Violet Anderson (see DC 022).

Cream-coloured woven sample with design of bands or stripes in beige, brown, light purple or light blue cotton thread or loosely spun cream-coloured wool, alternating between different textile weaves.
