The stole was a screen printed textile made by me in greens, red + a kind of Kakhi colour. The headdress was red knitting pins stuck into my bun. I was a student of Robert Stewart's / Printed Textiles Dept. + Kathleen Whyte's Modern Embroidery / 10 Aug 2016." Verso also includes a stamp that indicates the copyright and reference number for printing purposes.

Per DC 101/3/1, Mrs Kopaloff was sitting at her kitchen table in her pre-fabricated home shelling peas. She had escaped from Jewish persecution in Lithuania and found refuge in the United Kingdom; Veronica Matthew knew her well.
