One of a series of electric slave clocks located through the Glasgow School of Art and run from a central 'master' clock. Installed in the new Mackintosh Furniture Gallery following restoration in 2013. This item was assessed for conversation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access project (2006-2010), and then again in 2018 following the fire in the Mackintosh Building in June 2018.

Designed for original board room at Glasgow School of Art. The chairs were designed for the original Board Room in the East wing (now the Mackintosh Room). The Governors never used this room for meetings and it was initially used as a studio while space was short in the half-finished building. When the new Board Room was built in the second phase of the building, Mackintosh designed a more elaborate version of this chair for it, MC/F/61. Six chairs reupholstered in brown horsehair 1985, very similar to the original fabric found on one of the chairs. Two remaining chairs reupholstered in 1986. Trade cabinet designed to hold various wood samples. Made for William Douglas, a decorator and friend of Mackintosh who worked on several of his commissions, especially Hous'hill. Reputedly designed by Mackintosh but some of the detailing suggests he did not closely supervise the execution. Each drawer holds samples of different woods, stains, paints and finishes. This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).

There were an additional twelve medium canisters attached to the coffered ceiling both above and below the library balcony, making 24. Originally there were also four additional medium hanging pendants in each of the south and western window bays, though these four lights, and the medium canister in the librarians office, had all been removed before the fire in 2014, meaning there were 48 in the library. The library was destroyed by the fire, though many metal fragments from the lights were salvaged.

A certain amount of furniture was made in 1904 for the Director... but Mackintosh did further work for the GSA in 1906 and 1907-09 so this piece could date from as late as 1909.' (Roger Billcliffe).

A more elegant version of the windsor chairs designed for the Dutch Kitchen at Argyle Street (Billcliffe 1906.49). These chairs proved much too delicate for their original purpose; only eight of approximately forty have survived, and all of these have had to be reinforced. They were replaced in the GSA Library c1950 by the much sturdier chairs originally designed for the Ingram Street Tea Rooms, MC/F/67. The Ingram Street Tea Rooms were purchased by Glasgow Corporation in 1951 for £25,000 and were then rented out as various shops and warehouses.

'An exaggeratedly tall design which complements the vast interior spaces of the studios. Quite a number of easels must have been provided at the time of the completion of the School, but very few still survive.' (Roger Billcliffe).

The original position of the fifth lamp is not known. In 1985 it was cleaned and placed above the School outer front doors, at the same time as these were repainted white.

This poster advertised the Interior Design course offered at The Glasgow School Of Art. The poster details the structure of the course and the vocational opportunities that could be gained with a degree in Interior Design. The poster also stipulates the entry requirements for the course. These were a minimum of 5 SCE passes or 3 at Higher grade, or 5 GCE passes, 2 at A level. It was mandatory that two of the subjects passed were Art and English.
