Poster for lecture 'Ron Heron Pentagram', Bourdon Lecture Theatre, Glasgow, 26 Apr. The year for the poster is not given but is believed to be late 1970s to early 1980s. As the lecture was held on a Thursday , the year would be 1979 or 1984.

Poster for screening of 'Daisies', a film by Vera Chytilova at the Bourdon Lecture Theatre. Date of screening was 29 Oct, year unknown but believed to be late 20th century. Note that 'Chytilova' is spelt 'Chitilova' on the poster.

This poster advertised a concert by the eccentric jazz musician George Melly which was held in the Bourdon Assembly Hall on Tuesday the 3rd of March 1981. Another poster advertising a George Melly concert at The Glasgow School Of Art in 1992 can be found under the reference number GSAA/EPH/10/30.

This poster advertised a performance of jazz music by George Melly and The John Chilton's Feetwarmers held at Bourdon Hall within The Glasgow School Of Art on the 3rd of March 1992. Tickets for the event were priced at £3 and could be purchased from the registrar's office and at Wylie's bookshop. George Melly was a successful jazz musician, performer and lecturer.

This poster advertised a retirement dinner for Lennox Paterson. Paterson worked at The Glasgow School Of Art between 1964 and 1979, occupying various roles including Head of Design and Deputy Head of the school. He was highly regarded for his wood engravings of animals and the poster features elements of this style. The event was held in the Bourdon Hall at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 20th of December 1979. The poster was designed and printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in printed textiles at this time.

This poster advertised a production of Dylan Thomas's play 'Under Milk Wood' by The Glasgow School Of Art Drama Society. The production ran from the 23rd to the 26th of April in the Bourdon Building on The Glasgow School Of Art campus. Tickets were priced at £1 and could be purchased from The Ticket Centre in Candleriggs or from The Glasgow School Of Art's Students Representational Council Office.

This poster advertised an exhibition of work by John Macfarlane who was a student at The Glasgow School Of Art before moving to Wales to work as a set and costume designer. The exhibition was held in the Bourdon building on The Glasgow School Of Art campus from the 5th to the 18th of December 1979. Interestingly, John Macfarlane's name has been misspelled on the poster where his surname has been spelled as 'McFarlane'.

The exact date and location of the 1982 fashion show are unknown.  Other shows held around this time were however held in the spring, and in the Assembly building or in the Assembly Hall of the Bourdon Building. The film comprises footage of students modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments.  Styles and themes of garments include rainbow, futuristic, Oriental, Egyptian, ballgowns, stripes, geometry, hats, formal, off-the-shoulder, utility wear, white, accessories, metallic, fantasy, swimwear. The show also features an extravagant period ballgown, designed by Kenny McLellan, which was subsequently shown at the “Young Blood” exhibition at the Barbican Centre in London, in November 1983 to January 1984. The set for the show consisted of a pale, self-coloured fabric backdrop. The soundtrack for this film was added during the editing phase of the film and contains music which was played at the fashion show.
