Inscribed: "From the students to Fra H Newbery esquire the Director and Headmaster of the Glasgow School of Art on the occasion of the completion of his 25th year in that capacity 20th day of December 1909".
Silver salver. Engraved: "Presented to Francis Henry Newbery with a purse of sovereigns on the occasion of his marriage, by members of the Glasgow School of Art and Haldane Academy, September 1889". Salver presented to Newbery with matching tankard (NMC/451).
