Engraved pewter goblet (one of a set of two) made by Crown and Rose of London, cast pewter by Royal Selangor.  Inscription reads: Presented by Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd to Prof Seona Reid CBE, Director of GSoA on the occasion of the 'topping out.'  GSoA phase 1, 7 May, 2013. In wooden presentation box (hinge broken).

Grey painted metal industrial style light shade with "Crysteel" label. Part of a set of four industrial lights (two sets of two) believed to be from the Director's Studio or Studios 21 or 23 in the Mackintosh Building.

One of a set of 10 green "Coolicon" coolie style metal light shades thought to be from the Hen Run and elsewhere in the Mackintosh Building. 3 are in good condition while 7 show signs of fire damage.

Brass lantern treated with gold finish with cut-out ornamental design on top and bottom. Has glass covering for light, cut wires on bottom which would have been attached to light bulb inside. Lantern would have been attached to the wall. Back of lantern has red marking, "SCH-302". Indented stamp on top front of lamp, "ALLAN & CO". Due to information in an inventory, lantern can be dated pre-1958.

Large brass tray or possibly table top with elephant in ceremonial garb and attendants in sarongs wielding axes etc.  Border with birds and foliage.

Traditional style hammer worked silver teapot (Edinburgh hallmark, 1982, GSA makers stamp) with heat proof handle and lid knob.  Swan necked spout and hip shaped body.

One of three ceiling light clusters designed for the new Board Room at Glasgow School of Art. Each fitting consists of nine lampshades suspended from a decorative iron frame.

Designed for the drawing room at Windyhill, Kilmacolm. The lights were originally desgined for gas fittings. Early photos show additional decorative glass pendants, now missing.

The original position of the fifth lamp is not known. In 1985 it was cleaned and placed above the School outer front doors, at the same time as these were repainted white.

This complete light, constructed from multiple, original parts salvaged from the library was made by Rodney French of Lonsdale and Dutch, Edinburgh. This was the first light reconstructed as part of the restoration of the Library and provided valuable evidence as to how the original lights had been manufactured between 1907-09.
