This poster advertised an exhibition of work by Jimmy Cosgrove who was the deputy director at The Glasgow School Of Art between 1990 and 2000. The exhibition was held at The Glasgow Print Studio gallery and ran from the 5th to the 30th of December.

This poster advertised a retrospective exhibition of work by Bob Stewart which ran between the 4th and the 31st of October 1980 at The University Of Strathclyde. Stewart is a leading figure in The Glasgow School Of Art's history. His role progressed from lecturing in textiles to Head of Design before he became Deputy Director of the school. He was highly regarded by staff and students and also designed and printed many of the posters in The Glasgow School Of Art's poster collection.

This poster, designed by Pat MacKenzie, advertised an exhibition of embroidery examples from 1894 to 1920. The exhibition was held between The Glasgow School Of Art's Mackintosh Museum and Kelvingrove Museum from the 6th of June to the 17th of August 1980. The image used on the front of the poster is an embroidery piece by Ann Macbeth who became the head of needlework and embroidery at The Glasgow School of Art in 1909, and is heavily associated with the "Glasgow Style".

This poster advertised a retirement dinner for Lennox Paterson. Paterson worked at The Glasgow School Of Art between 1964 and 1979, occupying various roles including Head of Design and Deputy Head of the school. He was highly regarded for his wood engravings of animals and the poster features elements of this style. The event was held in the Bourdon Hall at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 20th of December 1979. The poster was designed and printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in printed textiles at this time.

This poster depicts a portrait of the artist with pink and blue fonts on a white background. It advertises a touring exhibition of the work of Jessie M. King, who is known for her book illustrations and paintings which are very much associated with the Glasgow Style. Known as one of the Glasgow Girls, the exhibition of King's work in 1979 marked the 20th anniversary of her death and was first shown at the Tolbooth Art Centre on Hill Street, Kirkcudbright from 4th June to 18th July. Later that same year, the exhibition was held at the Glasgow School of Art's Mackintosh Building from 27th July to 3rd September. The exhibition itself was sponsored by the Robertson Trust, The N.S. Macfarlane Trust and the Glasgow School of Art Enterprises.

This poster advertised a lecture given by illustrator and animator Bob Godfrey. Godfrey is famous for his animated cartoons including Roobarb, Noah and Nelly and Henry's Cat. The lecture was held on the 30th of May 1979 and part of it involved Godfrey offering to critique the student's own films.

This poster advertised an exhibition of photography held in the Victoria Cafe from the 9th to the 20th of October 1978. Exhibiting in this show were a number of artists including: Elizabeth Urquhart, Ray McKenzie, Douglas Bryce, Chris Webster, Denis Crossan and Jack Fordy. The Victoria Cafe, where the show was held, was part of the original student union across from the Mackintosh building on GSA campus. The name "Douglas R. Bryce Graphics '78" is handwritten on the back of the poster.

This poster advertised a Glasgow School Of Art fashion show that ran from the 24th to the 29th April 1978. Tickets for this event were priced at £1 and could be purchased from the registrar's office at The Glasgow School Of Art as well as The Design Centre on St Vincent Street. This particular print is number five of ten editions.

The 1978 Fashion Show was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre from the 24th to 28th April 1978. The film comprises a combination of still images and film footage of students preparing for the show behind the scenes, and modelling on the stage. There is a mixture of men’s and women’s garments. Styles and themes include metallic fabrics, sportswear, bodysuits and off-the-shoulder dresses. Children’s clothes were also modelled in the show although these are not shown in the film. Garments were designed and modelled mostly by students or former students. Indigo Designs also designed evening dresses for the show. Students involved in the show came from a variety of subject areas and years, including: 1st year; Embroidery and Weaving; Textiles; and Graphics. Hair was by the Hely Design Group and shoes were from Ravel. The set for the show consisted of a pale, self-coloured ruched fabric backdrop. This poster advertised a lecture given by Marina Von Salem on the Die Brücke movement, an artistic movement created by a number of German expressionist artists in the early 20th century. Die Brücke is German for 'The Bridge' and the movement was refered to as "The German expressionist bridge to the future".

O'Connor lectured in the graphic design department at The Glasgow School Of Art briefly between 1978 and 1979. The exhibition included work in a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, wood engraving, graphics and illustration. The poster also details that The National Book League exhibition of Book Design and Production was running concurrently with the O'Connor exhibition in the Mackintosh Library.

The second exhibition was entitled 'The National Book League Exhibition Of Book Design and Production' and was held in the Mackintosh Library. This poster advertised a debate which dealt with the positive and negative aspects of studying at The Glasgow School Of Art which was held in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre on the 8th of December 1976. Speaking for the school in the debate included Roger Hoare, Mike Roschlau, Tom Lyden and Vladimir Soukoup. Speaking against were Dugald Cameron, Julian Gibb, Colin McNaught and Jim Cathcart. Harry J. Barnes was the chairperson. The poster states: "The Motion: This house believes that this art school creates no prospects, no jobs, no firm conclusions, no hopes, few aspirations, little money, nothing but nostalgia..." The poster was printed by Bob Stewart who was a senior lecturer in design at The Glasgow School Of Art at this time.

This poster advertised a seminar lead by Dr. John McHale which focused on a theme entitled "The Future Of The Future". He did this seminar three times, twice at The Glasgow School Of Art on the 4th and 5th of November and once at The University Of Strathclyde on the 4th of November 1976. McHale was the Director of the Centre for Integrative Studies and School of Advanced Technology for the State University of New York. He is credited as the founder of the Independent Group, a London based artistic movement which kickstarted British Pop Art. Members of the group included Richard Hamilton, Eduardo Paolozzi, and architects Alison and Peter Smithson. The poster was designed and printed by Bob Stewart, who was a senior lecturer in textile design at this time.

The poster was designed and printed by Robert Stewart who produced a number of the posters in The Glasgow School Of Art's poster collection. Stewart was acting Head Of Design in 1974.
