The correspondence consists of five letters and one envelope. The letters relate to Elizabeth Marion Harvey's time as a student at the school of Architecture and her later work as an architect. The educational papers include Harvey's lecture notes, coursework instructions, notes from her later examinations and a leaflet for a design competition.

The letter is regarding her acceptance to sit the Intermediate Examination between the 7th to 13th of November 1952. It outlines the details of the various examinations. The envelope originally had Harvey's address in Croftfoot, Glasgow, but this has been scored out and next to it an address in Jersey, the Channel Isles has been written for the letter to be forwarded to.

A typed letter from Elizabeth Marion Harvey to the secretary of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London. The letter is informing the secretary that Harvey has forwarded sheets of drawings which are to be regarded as testimonies of study for the May 1951 External Intermediate Examination. She states that she attended the Glasgow School of Architecture until December 1949 when she had to stop her studies due to a 'temporary indisposition'.

Details of an incorporation prize of a competition for students. The task is to design a seamen's institute in a busy east of Scotland port. The document consists of four pages stapled together although they are stapled in the wrong order. Harvey's name is written in pen at the top of page 16.

Record of Elizabeth Marion Harvey's fees paid to the Royal Technical College, Glasgow, for session 1947-1948 day classes. The architecture course composition fee was £26.57. She also paid £10:6 for the Student's Welfare Fund. It was paid on 10-10-1947 and is signed by James S. Croft, the treasurer. On the back is a blank 'election of rector' form for the University of Glasgow.

Elizabeth M. Harvey's Building Technicians Diary from 1948, created by the Glasgow School of Architecture Club. The first half of the diary contains various general information, such as the standard measurements for various architectural structures and materials, a directory of professional bodies and a map of the UK. The second half of the diary is a standard diary format from January to December 1948. Some diary pages contain notes written by Harvey regarding appointments or tasks for her to complete, others have numbers which appear to be records of spending. The back of the diary has a list of telephone exchange numbers for various people, some drawings and sketches and some notes written by the author. In the back outer cover, a small cut of a newspaper ad for a job at Butlins has been tucked into the material.

The booklet is missing some pages at the beginning, some pages are ripped, and some are not attached to the booklet.
