Black crayon is applied to the background in a dense crosshatch pattern. Coloured inks are washed over the surface creating a watery effect. Organic shapes with gestural brush strokes in black ink are applied to the surface of the composition. Paper backed on conservation board.

The title '7 Adaptability and Variety of Forms' appears in white on black mountboard. The second piece of mountboard is cream with three windows cut into it. Within one is handwritten text discussing the adaptability of insects, particularly referring to the mouth and legs. In the second window is a drawing of multiple insect legs, drawn from different angles. The last window shows the profile of an insect, possibly a grasshopper or cricket.
Album containing 9 pages of fashion show photographs from a menswear collection. Front pocket also contains 12 loose photographs. The photos are undated and it is not known which brand the designs are attributed to.

These items represent a product through which a consumer would adopt an iceberg, thereby supporting research into effects of melting ice in the Arctic. The certificate of adoption would give details of the berg adopted, and the cardboard berg models would be sent to the adopter over time, shrinking in size to represent the melting of the ice. The product was produced as part of a final year student project addressing issues of climate change and the relationship between Scotland and the North.

This wrist band represents a product which would support research into the changing behaviours of polar bears in relation to diminished habitat. The band would link by satellite to a polar bear. It would reflect the temperature of the bear and vibrations would serve to notify the band owner when the bear undertakes certain activities. The band is boxed and comes with an explanatory leaflet.
This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. Painted white wood with inlaid metals and wood.
Designed for the Argyle Street Tea Rooms, Glasgow. One example appears in contemporary photographs of the Luncheon Room, but several others, possibly used in the ground floor apartments at Argyle Street, have survived. (Roger Billcliffe). The pierced motif in the side panels is the same as in the oval back-rail chair, MC/F/14. In a sketch the same chair but with a slightly taller back is used in a bedroom design (repro. Alison as principal bedroom, Westdel, Queen's Place, 1901). It is quite possible this chair was used in other commissions besides Argyle Street. This item was assessed for conservation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access Project (2006-2010).
