The title '7 Adaptability and Variety of Forms' appears in white on black mountboard. The second piece of mountboard is cream with three windows cut into it. Within one is handwritten text discussing the adaptability of insects, particularly referring to the mouth and legs. In the second window is a drawing of multiple insect legs, drawn from different angles. The last window shows the profile of an insect, possibly a grasshopper or cricket.

The certificate of adoption would give details of the berg adopted, and the cardboard berg models would be sent to the adopter over time, shrinking in size to represent the melting of the ice. This wrist band represents a product which would support research into the changing behaviours of polar bears in relation to diminished habitat. The band would link by satellite to a polar bear. It would reflect the temperature of the bear and vibrations would serve to notify the band owner when the bear undertakes certain activities. The band is boxed and comes with an explanatory leaflet.

Alison as principal bedroom, Westdel, Queen's Place, 1901). It is quite possible this chair was used in other commissions besides Argyle Street. Designed for the Willow Tea Rooms, Glasgow. 'A very sturdy but not particularly comfortable chair, used in the ground floor saloons, the Gallery and the Smoking room... Their boxy shape contrasts with the taller and more open ladder-backs arranged alongside them in the layout of furniture which Mackintosh devised.' (Roger Billcliffe). Reupholstered in blue horsehair 1984 (the original upholstery on these and the Willow settle was a green and gold striped horsehair). This item was assessed for conversation in 2010 as part of the Mackintosh Conservation and Access project (2006-2010), and then again in 2018 following the fire in the Mackintosh Building in June 2018.

'An exaggeratedly tall design which complements the vast interior spaces of the studios. Quite a number of easels must have been provided at the time of the completion of the School, but very few still survive.' (Roger Billcliffe).
Long multi-coloured banner. Wefts and warps in shades of purple, orange, pink, green, yellow, grey and brown form an abstract design of gradated colours on a cream-coloured background. The warps have been left long in the lower edge and turned into a fringe.
