Banner

Long multi-coloured banner. Wefts and warps in shades of purple, orange, pink, green, yellow, grey and brown form an abstract design of gradated colours on a cream-coloured background. The warps have been left long in the lower edge and turned into a fringe.

Double-faced fabric, in an even, regular weave. Grid design on a cream background in rectangles of red, orange, yellow and three shades of blue, with colour gradations in some parts of the design. It also has been quilted to add texture and weight to the lower half of the banner.

Closely woven, double-faced, padded fabric in a grid like repeat pattern in plain weave which has been edged with a pale green cotton fabric. It has a central slash opening, probably created to fit as a protective cover. Woven in cream, three shades of green and two of pink, the boxes of coloured stripes are raised over padding to give a quilted effect. On the reverse, the padded squares are self coloured, separated by striped rectangles.
