A variety of life drawings and portraits completed by Mary Ramsay. Some of these items are dated to her time as a student at The Glasgow School of Art. Most items are pencil on paper, with a few further studies in paint.

This series includes one item by Jessie Wilson, another student of The Glasgow School of Art, with whom Mary Ramsay and Margaret Macdonald started a pottery decorating business at The Studio, Strathyre, in 1926.

The collection consists of correspondence and other materials relating to the exhibition and includes: a draft of the preliminary application form to participate in the exhibition, including the names of exhibitors and their works, 1900; correspondence from The London Exhibition Co Limited inviting Glasgow School of Art to participate in the exhibition, including a prospectus and uncompleted contributor's form, 5 Mar 1900; letter to Fra Newbery from The London Exhibition Company on the insurance of the exhibits, 20 Apr 1900, letter to Glasgow School of Art from the Curator, Applied Art Section enquiring after the value of the exhibits, 22 Jun 1900; letter from The London Exhibitions Company to Glasgow School of Art from the Secretary of the Applied Arts Section, enclosing receipts for the exhibits accepted (receipts attached), 6 Jun 1900.

Material includes: typescript list of 1012 items exhibited with descriptions and their purchasers when appropriate, 1916; photographs of individual items exhibited, 1916; financial records relating to the opening ceremony, 1916; printed stationery made for the exhibition, 1916; minutes of the Needlework Exhibition Committee, Oct 1915-Apr 1916; folder of papers relating to the organisation of the Exhibition including stationery, correspondence and a speech/forwarding address by Fra Newbery, 1915-1916.

• correspondence between Newbery and school staff, 1909-1916
• correspondence on Morley Fletcher, Principal of ECA, September 1912
• correspondence with visiting lecturers, March-May 1914.
• later acquisitions of material relating to Newbery, including some working papers and correspondence from his time as Director in addition to papers dating to after his retirement, family records and photographs, and written materials regarding Newbery.

A variety of letter received by Archibald Haswell Miller. One of this letters dates to his time as a student at the Glasgow School of Art, whereas the others date to his time as a lecturer at the same institution.

This collection includes works by a number of artists, designers and architects associated with Charles Rennie Mackintosh, including his wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, his sister-in-law Frances Macdonald MacNair and his sister-in-law's husband Herbert MacNair. These works include textiles, designs, and four volumes of a Glasgow School of Art student publication called The Magazine, as well as several individual watercolours now separated from the publication. The collection also includes a number of models for proposed architectural schemes by Mackintosh.
