British. Applique curtain in shades of yellow shading to dark brown at the bottom. Art Deco design with pink and silver stripes. Patched together from irregular jigsaw shaped pieces.
Leather bound book cover with ornate incised decoration on front and inside cover with gilding and red and blue pigment. Exposed paper underneath leather shows Arabic lettering.
Large red glazed ceramic vase with red marking on bottom "GSA 581". Due to information in a 1958 inventory, vase can be dated pre-1958. It may be a student piece or could have been bought and used as a teaching aid.
Large and wide white ornamental vase with light and dark blue hand-painted floral patterns. Hand-painted bands of designs along the mouth and the bottom. Has a lid with several hand-painted bands of light and dark blue patterns. '18-24' handwritten in black on bottom of vase and lid. Glaze over the vase and lid. Was given to one of the school's directors as a gift.

Small cream lace tablecloth. Large floral pattern with central square. 4 petal shaped openwork sections in the middle of each corner. Scalloped edge with picots. Machine net ground.
Possibly a chalice veil. Cream coloured needlelace square. Almost square in fine needlelace with floral border which is more detailed at corners. Small floral sprigs scattered across fabric.
Striped cotton jumpsuit in cream, light and dark green, light and dark lilac, and khaki. The design of the garment suggests that the material was dyed to suit. Strapless fitted bodice with darts opening to wide legged trousers which gather at the ankles in a decorative thread weave cuff. Lace tie fastening on the front of the bodice with braided cord made from coloured threads that match the material. The garment demonstrates a variety of pattern cutting and construction skills and was probably made for a Glasgow School of Art fashion show.
10 reels of thread (yellow; purple; red; grey; navy blue; 2 x multicoloured; 3 x green); three sets of thread wound around card (2 x purple and 1 x green); plus loose threads (purple, yellow; gold; pink; black; green; blue).
