Thistles design apron

Apron with repeating design of thistles in purple, grey, and white.

This item was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Textile conservation was completed in 2019.

Some of this material was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. The items in question have been assessed by a conservator. Some paper conservation was completed in 2019, but unfortunately in some cases no remedial work is possible.

Small PVC coated printed tote bag with design on both sides of a stylised garden with flowers, insects and a fairy. In yellow, orange, pink, blue and green with a blue border and straps.

Contains pencil sketches of various flora and fauna; designs for Christmas cards, cushions and aprons. Also includes some designs drawn on tracing paper.
