A collection of black & white photographs relating to Kath Whyte's time at Gray's School of Art which includes: Kath's graduation portraits and photos of her fellow students at her flat.

There is one album which includes photographs of Kath with friends and family on days out, e.g. at a beach and on a picnic, as well as photographs of students painting in a studio and in fancy dress; and one album which includes photographs of Kath's diploma show.

A collection of postcards received and kept by Kath Whyte; also includes blank postcards. Many postcards are from heritage institutions such as the British Museum and the National Trust and feature works of art such as paintings and tapestries. One folder of cards have been cut into strips and woven in order to get ideas for colour schemes.

A collection Kath Whyte's drawings, sketches and embroidery designs.

Consists of loose sketches and sketchbooks which contain sketches and drawings done in various mediums such as pencil, pastel, and watercolour. Subjects include florals, trees, birds, cats, mermaids, boats, ecclesiastical figures, death masks, fashion, and weaving designs; etc. Some sketchooks also contain notes.

Included are design drawings for: Creation pulpit fall, 1959; chair for Eaglesham Church, c1961; Mayfield cloth, 1972; Old Parish Church Gourock, 1973; double bow & silver cross, 1973; Live Coal, not dated; long lecturn fall for Cathcart South, 1978/79; studies for last piece of work, early 1980s; Prestonkirk Pulpit Fall (includes some correspondence), 1984; and poppies panel in V&A collection, not dated.

• Folder of designs for "Hand of God"; including a folder labelled "Queen Mother's, Yorkhill 1971".
• Designs for Arbroath Panel, 1943 and Design for Communion Cloth for Shawlands.
• Designs for St Martins Church, Port Glasgow, 1959.
• Folder entitled "Architecture & Interior Decoration" but containing portrait and life drawings done in pencil.
• Folder of material relating to "Tree of Light"; includes a scenic watercolour signed Leslie Bewes 12/1/83.
• Folder of designs for Life Force Lectern, Cathcart South, Celestia, Last Supper etc.

Also included is a folder of cuttings from "The Scottish Annual & Braemar Gathering Book" featuring Kath Whyte artwork; as well as some other artwork.

A collection of papers and photographs relating mainly to Kath Whyte's embroidery work, but also including drawings, sketches, and ceramic work. It includes notes and notebooks, sketches, drawings, designs, photographs and slides, ceramics and biographical information.

Includes a folder entitled "Drawings" containing a collection of newspaper and magazine cuttings and a small number of photographs of various images; including ecclesiastical works of art, floral crewel work, ceramics, historical portraits, architecture, birds, etc. [outsize]

Also includes a collection of black and white images of Rome featuring architecture, sculptures and frescoes; in original envelope which bears a label with the title, "Fotografia Artistica Commerciale: Roma - via condotti, 76".

This includes letters of congratulations for being awarded an M.B.E. Also contains poems written by Kath and her sister and a script with the notation 'Party to celebrate the occasion of MBE to Kath Whyte before the move from Bath Street to the Newbery Tower - author unknown - Crissie White'.
