A collection of newscuttings relating to embroidery, various exhibitions, GSA staff & students, and artists from Aberdeen & Arbroath.

Collected image cuttings

Includes a folder entitled "Drawings" containing a collection of newspaper and magazine cuttings and a small number of photographs of various images; including ecclesiastical works of art, floral crewel work, ceramics, historical portraits, architecture, birds, etc. [outsize]

Collected ephemera

A collection of catalogues, invitations, programmes and dinner menus collected by Kath Whyte. Many relate to GSA alumni and events and some of the dinner menus have been signed by fellow guests. Other items include a catalogue for Kath Whyte: Embroiderer Retrospective Exhibition and a photograph album presented to Kath by Daimaru for her help with an exhibition.

A collection of various artworks belonging to Kath Whyte.

Includes:

  • A framed black and purple print of a bird, possibly done by Bob Stewart;
  • A framed batik; a design by Bob Stewart [outsize];
  • "Brave Fusilier" an abstract work of art given to Kath Whyte on her retirement by Bob Finnie, lecturer in the Printed Textiles Department [outsize];
  • Charcoal portrait, pencil portrait and two etchings of Kath Whyte signed by W.S. Webster [outsize];
