Sketchbook belonging to Archibald Haswell Miller. On the front it is written; 1926. 1927 (Forte). 1928-9 (Stockiemuir) Brill. On the inside page Millers address is listed as 65 West Regent Street or 224 West Regent Street. The sketchbook contains various drawings of places in Europe, mostly Forte in Italy. Inside some of the pages are photographs of different medieval and Roman castles in England.

The inside page lists two addresses, Villa Mario Guercia, Via Nvoya 37, Posillipo, Napoli, and Mansfield Lodge, Minard Avenue, Partickhill, Glasgow. The sketchbook contains various drawings, paintings and designs. Some of which are of places in England (Aylesbury) and in Italy. Stuck on the back page is an advertisement for coloured paint. Inside the book there is a photograph stuck to one of the pages of Abingdon Town Hall and Statue.

The sketchbook contains various drawings, mostly of people. Many of the drawings are of classical figures and some are of designs for posters. Inside the sketch book there is some printed ephemera, including a leaflet for an art furniture store in London, and a GSA leaflet.

Archibald Haswell Miller's sketchbook, dated 1903-05. His address is listed on the first page as Mansfield Lodge, Partickhill, Glasgow. He also notes on this page that this was the type of book used by all Glasgow School of Art Students when he attended in 1903, and that he has used the same type of book for 60 years. This book mostly contains sketches (some in colour) of the various army uniforms of different countries. There is an envelope stuck to the back page which has some letters and notes inside it which are removable.

The collections includes proofs for book covers and pamphlets, personal correspondence relating to his studies and subsequent career, different ephemera relating to Haswell Miller's student days and photographs of artworks and students and staff members of The Glasgow School of Art.

This collection also includes material relating to Georges-Marie Baltus (DC 098/2) , including photographs of his artworks and his Italian and European trips, and Francis H. Newbery (DC 098/3).
