Routes into Roots: Family History Research Session

We’ll cover a range of useful resources, archives and websites, and give hints and tips for your own research.

There will be a chance to see items from GSA’s own archives and museum collections, and we’ll discuss how these and similar primary resources can be used to investigate your ancestors and build a picture of their lives.

No previous knowledge of family history research is required – this session will cover a range of resources that will be useful for researchers at all stages, from beginners to seasoned sleuths!

The session will last around 2 hours and there will be the opportunity to ask questions throughout.
