By Michelangelo, 1501-1504. Figure of Mary with the infant Jesus. This item was damaged in the fire in the Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. It underwent conservation and consolidation work in 2016.

Listed in 1964/5 inventory as located in the museum and passage ways of the Mackintosh Building (GSAA/GOV/7/5). Cast is listed for sale in 'Catalogue Casts for Schools' (GSAA/ISE/5/8), however no evidence this was the distributer (D. Brucciani & Co.) or issue it was bought from.
