Cream-coloured plain weave sample woven with yarn and bouclé yarn that create a geometric pattern. The warps have been dyed or printed before weaving with different shapes (circles, squares, crosses) in yellow, light purple, light blue and pink, that form a grid-like design after weaving.
Tightly woven pile weave sample in fine cream-coloured yarn. The warps have been dyed or printed before weaving with bands of diagonal lines in pink, blue, yellow, green, purple and red. The cut pile ends form a lattice pattern.
- 20th century
Textile work by Glasgow School of Art students and staff, including examples of woven textiles, some of which are most likely to be submissions for degree shows, while others seem to be submissions for an RSA Bursary Competition. Some creators are known, others are yet to be identified.
