History
Eliza Cunningham Keir was born in 1893 and attended The Glasgow School of Art for three years, between 1912 and 1915. During this time, Keir resided at Edelweiss Terrace, Partickhill and 37 Partickhill Road. Keir's tuition was subsidised by Govan Local Authority.
Keir initially studied Design during her first year at the School, but later changed to Drawing and Painting which she studied for her final two years. It is unknown what subjects Keir specialised in, although she may have been taught by some notable professors at the School at that time, such as Maurice Greifenhagen, R. Anning Bell and James M. Dunlop. It is noted that Keir was involved in the 'Tea Room,' however it is unknown in what capacity.
Whether Keir continued to pursue her artistic ambitions after her time at The School is unknown.
