Collection of various animal prints including sheep, cows, horses, dogs, and deer with focus on different parts of the anatomy (full body, heads, horns, hoofs, tails, etc). Many prints with French labels. Some prints signed by Robert Hills (1769-1844).

Includes two copies of architectural sketches for an early English doorway, entrance to Chapter House, Glasgow Cathedral. Sketch is dated 28 January 1903, supplement to The Builder's Journal and Architectural Record, measured and drawn by Charles Forsyth. Also includes collection of architectural lithograph prints, sketches, and watercolours of various locations including Paris, Rome, Cairo, and throughout the UK, some by E. Hildebrandt. Two have a stamp on corner of work, "Department of Science and Art, Specimen presented to schools". Also includes coloured prints of various rooms in the Great Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia. Views include halls, courtyard, indoor garden, holy vestibule, throne room. Labelled in Russian and French, some include English labels written in pencil. Also includes collection of printed architectural plans and designs including two ordinance surveys of Garnethill and City Centre/Sauchiehall St., three copies of a poster of "100 Years of British Architecture" by The Observer, a floor plan of the Great Kremlin Palace in Moscow, a poster of "James Caldwell & Co. Abbotsford Stained Glassworks" designs, and three small architectural sketches/plans/designs of Grey Friars Church in Edinburgh, Chartres Cathedral in France, and Candlish Memorial Church in Glasgow.

Includes collection of modern calligraphy teaching aids and examples as well as a collection of European and Turkish medieval manuscript fragments. Also includes a leather book cover with decorative gilding and Arabic lettering.

Cream coloured glazed ceramic Chinese figure in court dress. Some damage (repaired) to neck and missing hands. Old paper label with no. 629/20 and 'Sch 76' in red paint inside figure suggest that it was part of the School's handling collection.

Ephemera also includes a collection of postcards from c1900 to the present, as well as material relating to: Glasgow School of Art's involvement with the international exhibition scene; records of the Woman's Work Exhibition, London, 1900; records of the Glasgow School of Art participation in the Glasgow International Exhibition, 1901; the Exhibition of Modern Furniture, Budapest, 1902; the Brussels Exhibition, 1910; and papers documenting the organisation of the Scottish Pavilion at the Exhibition of Decorative Arts, Turin, 1902. Some of the material is in French and Italian.

Four printed graphic designs featuring school magazine covers, annotated "Coatbridge Secondary School Magazine" and "Airdrie Academy Magazine." The designs are attached to backing paper and two of them are dated 1937 and 1938. This work was used as teaching material in schools in Scotland, as marked the level of students "Fifth year."

A variety of drawings and graphic designs created by Gerard V. Murphy, a former student at The Glasgow School of Art in the 1930s. The diverse subjects of his drawings include animals, plants, architecture, human anatomy and figures. A subfonds titled 'Teaching examples' features his teaching materials as an art teacher at schools, intended for printmaking techniques and pattern design education.

Most items have been marked with his name or student registration numbers, assuming they were created during his time as a student at GSA. The dominant materials in his works are pencil and watercolour, worked on cartridge paper.

Some of this material was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Paper conservation was completed in 2019.

Group of miscellaneous photographs that do not fit an existing theme and do not have any notes indicating a collector/tutor, except one photograph which has a handwritten note "J Keppie" (John Keppie). Includes architectural photographs and photographic prints of various artwork and ornamental details.

Group of modern calligraphy instructional prints and examples. Includes printed examples of calligraphy teaching various techniques, two examples of calligraphy on parchment in red and black ink, calligraphy in black ink on aged paper giving instruction for raised gilding in books signed Graily Hewitt, Sep. 1915, and a print in black ink on white paper of a pointing hand.

A collection of personal papers and documents belonging to William Drummond Bone, including exam papers, army correspondance, fashion designs, essays, teaching notes and exhibition catalogues.

• a selection of Christmas cards and other ephemera collected by Conrad McKenna, a former student and staff member at The Glasgow School of Art, plus typed and handwritten materials used by McKenna to deliver teaching at The Glasgow School of Art
• correspondence between Conrad McKenna and The Glasgow School of Art and members of staff, and correspondence and printed ephemera regarding The San Gimignano Summer School.

The cards and ephemera have been created by former Glasgow School of Art staff and students and friends of Conrad McKenna, including Gordon Huntly, Rosalind Bliss, Michael Moulder, Peter Sumsion, Michael Healey, Mark Severin and James Cosgrove.
