This item was lost in the fire in The Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art on 23rd May 2014. Study of wildlife, deer, partridge and birds of prey painted on sculpted card, attached to blue sculpted mount.

Cream-coloured woven sample with design of bands or stripes in beige, brown, light purple or light blue cotton thread or loosely spun cream-coloured wool, alternating between different textile weaves.

Two-faced fabric with fine grey and beige warp threads and a coral pink and loosely twisted cream thicker gauge weft. One face in a plaid design of twill and plain weave with bands of coral and cream on a grey background. On the other face, the cream weft threads have been deliberately cut and fringed to form bands of texture against the closely woven grey and coral background.

Closely woven, double-faced, padded fabric in a grid like repeat pattern in plain weave which has been edged with a pale green cotton fabric. It has a central slash opening, probably created to fit as a protective cover. Woven in cream, three shades of green and two of pink, the boxes of coloured stripes are raised over padding to give a quilted effect. On the reverse, the padded squares are self coloured, separated by striped rectangles.

Loosely woven two-faced fabric with organza ribbons in purple and green and loose weave cotton ribbons in pink and green. Reverse shows supporting weave of green and dark blue wool.

Two-faced plain weave sample with fringe. The face consists of fabric ribbons of a satin weave green fabric and a coarse open weave fabric in purple, blue and yellow. The reverse is woven with red yarn and the same coarse open weave fabric in purple, blue and yellow.

Double-faced woven sample with fine brown woollen yarn warps and a design of two distinctive horizontal sections. One section is plain weave with wefts of fine dark yellow and blue woollen yarn with bands of twill weave in fine bright yellow yarn. The other section consists of twill weave with wefts of loosely spun multicoloured wool yarn (mostly dark yellow).

Double-faced woven sample in fine wool yarn with a grid-like design of coloured blocks and stripes on a black background. Black fine yarn warps and wefts woven in plain weave, with supplementary fine yarn wefts in shades of orange, purple, blue, grey and cream creating the pattern.

Woven with cotton thread in shades of blue and purple with supplementary warps in bright orange shades forming the pattern. A label is attached to the item which reads 'Samanth Goates, 1990', however, this is a misattribution.

Woven in plain weave with fine cotton threads in shades of blue, and leaving the warp threads as fringe. The supplementary wefts of frayed red ribbons and fine cotton thread in yellow and orange are woven in twill weave and form the different patterns.

Tightly woven single-faced fabric with black warp threads, and wefts in shades of blue, teal, purple, brown, grey and pink. Weft threads are lusterous and may be silk. Geometric design with chevrons, diamonds and other repeats in bands of pattern in a grid like format.

Open weave sample in a gradation of blue colour, from light blue to dark blue. The central design is a female figure, woven with supplementary wefts. Warps have been knotted and left long as fringe.

Closely woven cotton fabric with printed warp threads and jagged design of subtle gradations in colour from orange through to red, blue, green to orange again. Second section with contrasting weft colours and regular pale yellow wefts giving a striped effect in shades of orange, pink, green and blue. Thicker cream coloured yarn has been introduced to form a line and zig zag geometric design over the coloured weave. This item was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Textile conservation was completed in 2019.
